GOODNESS pop-up restaurant, conceived by model/philanthropist Elettra Wiedemann, experienced success once again this Fall/Winter 2012 Fashion Week season.

]]> Held at Robert this year, which is situated at the top of the Museum of Art and Design, diners had a choice between an a la carte or a prixe fixe menu ($35).

And, who exactly was behind the burner? The culinary masters featured chef Mario Batali of Babbo, Robert's own Leo Forneas as well as chefs Alain Allegretti of La Promenade and Julian Medina of Toloache.

When I spoke to Elettra, upon my visit to the venue, I asked her if she foresaw including a female chef at some point at GOODNESS, especially with Fashion Week geared so heavily towards women. She told me that she definitely would love to have female chefs in future, not just one. Way to rock the female culinary power is what I say to that, Elettra. I look forward to femme GOODNESS in upcoming seasons of Fashion Week.

Rest in peace our dearest Whitney Houston August 9, 1963 - February 11, 2012.

]]> Here is one of Whitney's lesser played songs, "My Name Is Not Susan" (featuring British rapper Monie Love) from her 1990 third studio album I'm Your Baby Tonight. The song was released in 1991 and the fourth single from this album. Though this tune may not have been as popular as "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)" or "I Will Always Love You," it was still a fun song to jam to back in the day...and now.

If you take a close look you will notice that the restaurant in the video is named "Nippy's Cuisine." "Nippy" was Whitney Houston's nickname given to her by her father, John Houston, as a child.

Not only will we always love you Whitney, but we will always miss you.

]]> Last season the concept was a great success and included chefs like Christopher Rendell of Whitehall and Rob Newburn of Seersucker who wowed fashionistas with their culinary delights. This season, for F/W 2012, the list of culinary masters is just as impressive featuring chefs Mario Batali, Leo Froneas, Alain Allegretti, and Julian Medina.

I recently had the great pleasure of attending the ARTISTRY 5:01 Party where I had the opportunity to meet the newly crowned Miss America 2012, Laura Kaeppeler (Miss Wisconsin). I must say that she is a stunning beauty and very down to earth.

]]> Since ARTISTRY is a sponsor of the Miss America Organization, it seemed fitting that such a fete would take place and it was great fun.

The event was not only a chance to chat with the lovely Miss America 2012, but all in attendance also got a sneak peek of ARTISTRY's new Escape To Paradise Seascape and Escape To Paradise Beachfront Trend Colour Collection compacts, as well as their new ARTISTRY Intensive Skincare Anti-Wrinkle Firming Serum, which will all debut March 1. Hey chicas! Guess who's back for Fashion Week with their fashionista friendly concierge service? It's Kmart!

]]> In their third season, the Fall/Winter 2012 Kmart Concierge will be delivering goodies to ladies in dire need of certain must-haves while they are running about town from fashion show to presentations to parties.

I got a sneak peek at some of the fash-ness (fashion necessities) at the Kmart Fashion Spring 2012 collection event, which included items such as opaque tights, mascara, chapstick, hand sanitizer, bottles of water, almonds to snack on and so much more -- all the girly bits to get one through the day and night.

The Kmart concierge will come to the rescue to those tweeting @KmartFashion #fashionweekproblems. Items will be delivered to them wherever they are in the city. Problem solved ladies!

To launch this cool happening Kmart teamed up with chic t-shirt design company Sophomore NYC for a limited edition tee (see hot red stiletto pump image above). Awesome!

Movie Expectations: Tres Sexy, Les Filles De 'Crazy Horse'

Tourist flock to Paris to spy many things including the Eiffel Tower, the Mona Lisa at The Louvre, The Arc de Triomphe and, of course, the Crazy Horse - the seductive nude cabaret founded by Alain Bernardin in 1951.

]]> If one, however, cannot jaunt to France to feast their eyes on the heart palpitation causing sexy filles that make-up the revue, then Frederick Wiseman's Crazy Horse is exactly the ticket.

A boring documentary that simply takes one behind the scenes this is not. If it were, I wouldn't even bother writing about it; after all, we have enough of those playing in theaters the world over. Sure, we see typical shots of what costumes and wigs the ladies should wear for the show and all that, but what really draws one in is the perfectionism that goes into presenting the female body as beautiful, divine, erotic and lovely.

Being limber, toned and exquisitely feminine, the Crazy Horse girls make their 'job' seem effortless. Much emphasis is placed on highlighting the women's buttocks via specialized lighting and their incredible ability to arch their backs just right. How great is this, because big bosoms many of them do not have, but booty, YES! This goes to show that lady humps in the back are just as important as lady lumps in the front.

If you're a woman watching this film, it'll instill in you a want to let out your inner femenina and then some. If you're a man watching, it might instill a want to let...well, something else out. After all, les filles de Crazy Horse sont tres sexy!

]]> Selected in 2011 for the HBO New York International Latino Film Festival, in a short span of time, Randy cleverly executes his message on how gun violence has more than one victim; not just the person bleeding, but you as well, us. As witnesses to such a horrific crime, we all become unwitting victims.

Sadly, gun violence is a prevalent occurrence in the black community. When we kill one of our own, we are aiding in killing all of our own. Let's stop contributing to our own extinction.

I encourage you to share this film with others.

Ooh La La Agent Provocateur 'Eau Provocateur'

This week, at its Madison Avenue store located in New York City, Agent Provocateur debut its new trio of day fragrances named 'Eau Provocateur.'

]]> Bringing about some changes to the original three fragrances Eau de Parfum, L'Agent and Maitresse, the trifecta of new scents: Agent Provocateur 'Eau Provocateur,' Agent Provocateur L'Agent 'Eau Provocateur,' and Agent Provocateur Maitresse 'Eau Provocateur' provide delicate, sensual and lighter notes for any lady to don all day long in merriment.

Though the entire collection is extremely scent-tual, I must say that Agent Provocateur Maitresse 'Eau Provocateur' stands out the most with its sweet smell of Rose, Iris and Granny Smith Apples. This sentiment was also felt by a number of the other women present at the launch event. After all, a lady knows what a lady likes :)

Being that the event was held at the Agent Provocateur store, I could not help distracting myself a little from the perfumes to peruse all the sexy lingerie bits this brand is so well known for. Ooh those mannequins were surely positioned in some naughty poses. Les femmes très sexy!

Nana! Good Food, Done Well

I unearthed a video of a restaurant review I did, for an online publication named Brooklyn Exposed, back in 2010 about an eatery located in Park Slope called Nana. And, since I love recommending great places to dine, I could not help sharing this one with those of you who did not see it originally on the Brooklyn Exposed site.

Nana is one of those quality places and hidden gems in Brooklyn that, once discovered, is not easily forgotten. They serve phenomenal Pan Asian cuisine along with outstanding cocktails at reasonable prices.

I enjoyed this assignment for three reasons:

1 - Owner Eric Ong was so down to earth and a bit shy about appearing on camera for fear that his English would not be clearly understood, however, I think he did lovely. 2 - I'm such a foodie. 3 - I love corresponding/presenting and feel any opportunity to improve on my on camera skills is a good one.

So keep me in mind guys for any future on camera opportunities.

Bus Ride Down New York City's 5th Ave.

Though the holidays are now over, I wanted to share these mini video clips I recorded whilst riding on the M5 bus down 5th Avenue here in New York City. My journey began on 57th Street and 5th and ended just by Rockefeller Center at 47th and 5th.

There's never a lack of tourists in NYC and on 5th Ave., forget about it. As I recorded, not only did I capture people strolling and shopping, but also filmed the bright lights and some of the fancy designer stores that line the streets.

While there was a world of its own taking place outside, there was another alive within the confines of the M5 bus as it made its journey down the avenue. The international chatter abounded greatly in differing languages as people discussed where they were heading and whom they were gearing to buy presents for. Lingering idly above all of this was the white noise produced by the bus engine, as the Christmas music from the exterior attempted desperately to infiltrate on our approach to Rock Center.

Michael Bolton's 'How Can We Be Lovers?'

This one is a definite oldie, but a goody. I had completely forgotten about this song until I was reminded of it as it played in the background of a television show I was viewing recently.

Now I can't say that I'm loving Michael Bolton's hair in this video, but what I'm definitely loving is this tune "How Can We Be Lovers?" from his 1989 album Soul Provider.

]]> While reminiscing, another Bolton hit came to mind, "Said I Loved You...But I Lied" from his 1993 album The One Thing. The musical intro alone to this song is enough to make one's

heart melt.

By the way, I'm enjoying seeing the exposed chest hair on Michael (wink).
